Inter Coach Luciano Spalletti believes the imminent signing of Lisandro Lopez proves “we have good directors”.
The Benfica centre-back is in Italy today, and is set to complete a loan with a €9m option to buy.
“It’s confirmation of what I was saying, we have good directors,” Spalletti told reporters as he left a meeting between Coaches and referees.
“I’m convinced that their skill puts us ahead of other competitors.”

Today’s meeting was largely to discuss VAR, which has been introduced to Serie A this season.
“VAR is an innovation which has led to 90 per cent correct choices and 10 per cent wrong decisions. It’s clear that we need to work on that 10 per cent to improve again.
“It would be devastating to go backward. All the right people are in the right positions. There are things that need to be improved, but everything is pointing in the right direction.
“We’re working in the right way.”
