Manchester United want to sign the winger this summer, but so far they have refused to meet the Nerazzurri’s €55m asking price.

Perisic played in today’s 2-0 win over Bayern Munich, providing an assist for Eder for the second goal.

“I know him well, everyone knows him,” Spalletti said in his post-match Press conference.

“For me the talk is always the same when it comes to him. He’s strong, he’s a player I want to keep with me, but then we must consider the opinion of the club and the player.”

Spalletti also reflected on today’s win, and confirmed he saw positive signs from his side in Singapore.

“We did well, we were very good at maintaining the right space between the lines and we attacked well.

“If we’re going to nitpick, we were perhaps less brave on the ball in the second half. Inter must have the desire to play against opponents of this level, today we beat Bayern Munich but there’s still a lot of growing to be done.

“To put in a great performance you have to put a lot of qualities out there on the pitch.

“Against a team like Bayern you need all components working together or it becomes difficult to think about making the difference.

“Winning matches makes you feel better, it helps you to smile. If you’re confident in your work, it helps you to do better the next time.

“The players know I don’t tell lies, I’ve found a good group of lads who, in my opinion, can grow a lot.”
