“It’s a week that can put us back on track and in touch with the top of the table,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“We’re growing, if we do well now, we’ll really see how far we can go, in terms of performance and potential.

“It’s clear that everything passes through results. Our players must be at their best because the games are coming thick and fast.

“Lautaro Martinez has the possibility to be an attacking outlet for us. He’s a strong player with a tough character. We’ll try to protect him. You might see him starting tomorrow.

“Nainggolan can do more. He must be able to find the form that has so far evaded him because of his injury.

“Vrsaljko may not be back before the international break, although he’s close to returning to training on the field.

“He’s been doing exercises at the gym, so we have to see what he’s like and make a decision on him.

“In my opinion we’re working well, even if I don’t understand these moments of decline that happen to us like when Fiorentina drew level or in the second half against Torino.”

Finally, did Spalletti have a response for Francesco Totti?

“Totti? I understand there may be some curiosity, but it’s not a topic that interests Inter fans,” he noted.

“I’ll read the book later, but it's not one of the themes of this Press conference.”
