According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti gifted all his players a typical Neapolitan lucky charm during a Christmas dinner on Thursday.

The dinner was organised by Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo in Posillipo and was attended by players and staff members.

As per Il Corriere dello Sport, the gift made by Spalletti to his players was a traditional amulet, a typical red horn, also called the ‘lucky horn.’ It is very common in Naples and Spalletti bought one each for his players.

The Partenopei are the current Serie A leaders with 13 victories and two draws in 15 matches. They are the only unbeaten team in Italy’s top flight.

They’ve only lost one competitive match against Liverpool in the Champions League. A harmless loss, given that the Azzurri still managed to win their group.

However, they lost the last two friendlies against Villarreal and Lille, so perhaps Spalletti thought it was better to use all his tools to be ready on January 4 when the season starts again with a key away game at Inter.

  1. If Lautaro and Lukaku remain in the form they have been in the last 6 weeks, Napoli will be fine.

BUT… If they play AND FINISH to the level they are capable of, it will be a nervy 2nd half of the season for Napoli
