Today Corriere della Sera is reporting the usual post-match meeting between the Coach and the directors got heated on Friday, and Spalletti is unhappy with a lack of transfer activity.

The newspaper states that managing director Alessandro Antonello, technical director Giovanni Gardini and sporting director Piero Ausilio were all present.

Spalletti is said to have made it clear to them that his squad is thin, and he feels he’ll need more to qualify for the Champions League.

The tactician is already frustrated after the summer, when big names failed to arrive and much of the transfer activity was left until late in the window.

Owners Suning Group are keen to stay within Financial Fair Play parameters, so are only planning to make moves in this transfer window if players leave.
