“Diamanti is a player with great technical quality,” Spalletti is quoted as saying. “I like him a lot. They say he is valued at €12m and, in my opinion, he is worth every penny.”
The former West Ham player is currently on international duty with Italy at the 2012 European Championships.
The 29-year-old, who has won just one cap, scored seven goals in 30 League games for the Dall’Ara outfit this term.
