Southampton and Benfica have reportedly been tracking Sassuolo-owned striker Gianluca Scamacca, who is currently on loan at Ascoli.

The Italy Under-21 international is already surprisingly experienced, with time spent at Lazio, Roma and PSV Eindhoven youth academies.

Sassuolo snapped him up in January 2017 and he has since gone out on loan to Cremonese, PEC Zwolle and Ascoli.
