Paulo Sousa again refused to discuss the referee, but admits Fiorentina were a little “vulnerable” when attacking Palermo.

“All the lads rushed off the bench at that goal to celebrate the victory, because the game was getting tricky,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“All the lads rushed off the bench at that goal to celebrate the victory, because the game was getting tricky,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.
“We know that with more attacking players in the line-up we become vulnerable at the back. We wanted to get the result under our belts in the first half and then control the situation, but that didn’t happen and we had to fight to the end.
“Fortunately in the end, we won. We want to dominate our opponents and create chances. We are creating a great deal recently, but not finishing them off.”
In truth, the Viola had scored another two goals, but they were incorrectly disallowed for offside and a foul on the goalkeeper. Palermo also had a penalty and possible red card for Nenad Tomovic waved away in the opening minutes.
“I don’t like to talk about referees,” insisted Sousa, who already had problems with the officiating last week against Inter.
“We just have to keep believing to the end, as we did today. Victory by victory, that belief grows and we’ll become more effective. The lads have the right spirit that pushes us on.”
Fiorentina used a 3-4-1-2 formation, although Sousa explains it wasn’t quite so clear.
“We tried Nikola Kalinic not along with Babacar, but between the lines and he played well, especially combining with Bernardeschi.”
