The Viola knocked Spurs out of the competition last season, and will face a rematch in the Last 32 of this year’s tournament.
“Meeting Tottenham will be a fascinating challenge, and a very demanding one,” Sousa told Fiorentina’s official website.

“The English team have great quality, top players and a Coach [Mauricio Pochettino] with international experience who knows how to transmit his principles to the team right away.
“We have the opportunity to meet great teams, and we have to be ready. We expect a red-hot atmosphere at White Hart Lane, like in all English stadiums.
“The 180 minutes will be played at high intensity, we have to be focused constantly, looking to show our quality on the pitch and win this tie.”
