Paulo Sousa was “satisfied” with Fiorentina’s 3-0 victory at Chievo and impressed by Federico Chiesa’s “hunger to do well.”

Chiesa got his first Serie A goal at the Bentegodi, after Cristian Tello and a Khouma Babacar penalty.

“It is the victory of a team that encountered difficulties in playing against a side coming off several defeats, that works hard and showed the right spirit. This is why I am satisfied,” Sousa told Mediaset Premium.

“Last season I watched Chiesa play in the Primavera youth team and from the start of the season I was confident he’d have the right hunger to do well, to enjoy his football. After scoring a goal, everything seems easier.

“I think we can continue playing like this. It depends also on the opposition and the moment, from the players at our disposal. If both teams are trying to create and impress, then it becomes entertaining for the fans.”
