Fiorentina Coach Paulo Sousa expects “a very difficult game” against Palermo tomorrow.

The Viola are surprise Scudetto contenders, lying just a point behind leaders Inter, while the Sicilian side are just four points above the relegation zone.

“It will be a very difficult game,” Sousa predicted in his pre-match Press conference.

“We don’t want to change our attitude with respect to how we finished 2015. Palermo are a different team to us, from a physical point of view they’re very strong, they have individuals who can cause us problems.

“Palermo have quality, and are struggling to find a safe place in the table in a way they’ve never had to do before.

“We’ll have to have the right attitude from the start of the game.”

Fiorentina have received less focus from the national media than some of the other teams at the top of the table, is that frustrating?

“We have to accept our reality, and at the same time we have to grow. The teams with most attention on them are much more criticised when they make the kind of mistakes which just happen in a game.

“We want to gain admiration from our fans, and the only way to do that is to win.

“From the day I was presented, everyone understood that I’m a certain way. I don’t just think about Coaching, but also building something.

“No Coach stays for 10 or 15 years, everything depends on results. I want to do something in Florence that stands the test of time, I’m working for that every day.”
