Fiorentina Coach Paulo Sousa believes “Genoa are superior physically, we’re better collectively”.

Tomorrow sees the Viola visit Marassi to play the final 62 minutes of their match from Week 3, which was abandoned due to a hailstorm.

“I know Juric, I admire their football and we’ve studied them to know their dynamics,” Sousa said in his pre-match Press conference.

Tomorrow sees the Viola visit Marassi to play the final 62 minutes of their match from Week 3, which was abandoned due to a hailstorm.

“I know Juric, I admire their football and we’ve studied them to know their dynamics,” Sousa said in his pre-match Press conference.

“He also plays a football similar to ours, they’re a physical team who play very well. Physically they’re superior, we’re better collectively.

“So it’ll be an interesting and balanced match, but I put my hope in the consistency of our results.

“They beat Juventus? We can’t compare ourselves with different teams and dynamics.”

Nikola Kalinic has been tied-down to a new contract, and Sousa discussed the Croatian striker.

“It’s his time, he’s a great player; not only for what he does on the pitch but he’s also extraordinary on a human level.

“He’s always been close as a player and a teammate, as well as a person.”

The Portuguese was also asked if Borja Valero would be available for tomorrow’s match.

“I haven’t talked to the doctor, Borja is recovering and we’ll see how today’s training session goes,” Sousa shrugged.

“We’ll see how everyone is. [Hernan] Toledo is recovering, others have taken knocks but can’t be ruled-out.”
