Chievo Verona will only sell Stefano Sorrentino if they receive a “super offer” for the goalkeeper, his agent has admitted.

“He has a contract that expires in 2014 and we have never talked about a renewal,” Andrea D’Amico told Sky Sport Italia.

“He is an important player for Chievo and they will only deprive themselves of him if a super offer was made to them.”

Sorrentino has been paired with a January move to either Bologna or Palermo, with the latter especially keen.

“We are waiting for the market to evolve,” his representative continued. “But there is nothing new to report right now.

“Every player has a desire to improve themselves, but it is up to the interested party – Palermo in this case – to take a step.

“A deal can only be done if the selling club, the buying club and the player are all happy.”
