Speaking to Sky Sport after the match, the Italy international revealed that he is close to committing his future to Walter Zenga’s side.

Speaking to Sky Sport after the match, the Italy international revealed that he is close to committing his future to Walter Zenga’s side.

“The renewal? In the next few days we will see and I think that we will reach an agreement,” he said.

“We’re both happy to have continued together, so we will try to reach an understanding.

“I’m happy about my first goal of the year, I’d also like to thank the Coach because he always tells me to have a go because I have these shots.

“I have to try it more often, in the first half I could’ve done that and instead passed to a teammate.

“It was difficult today, but we’re doing well at the moment and we must continue like this.”
