Massimo Ferrero’s advisor Antonio Romei says a deal for Roberto Soriano to move from Sampdoria to Napoli ‘is dead’.
The Italy international was close to leaving the Blucerchiati last summer, but Romei underlined that no negotiation exists anymore.
“The deal with Napoli is dead,” Romei told Radio CRC.
“It’s difficult to express yourself on the transfer market because in football anything can always happen, but at the moment the deal doesn’t exist.

“It has been just as quick to die as it was to develop.
“Montella? He’ll stay at Sampdoria next year as well, he has another two years on his contract. This subject of staying up has affected our plans a little, we’ve lost a bit of time, but we’re convinced by the quality of Montella and want to go forward with him.
“But then in football nothing is absolute.”
