The two teams have been in discussions for the youngster and it seems a compromise has been reached.

Sorensen will join the Rossoblu in a co-ownership deal after they agreed to pay €2.5m for a 50 per cent share in him.

The Danish Under-21 international made 18 appearances for the Old Lady last season, but he’s been limited to just one Coppa Italia tie this term under new boss Antonio Conte.

Still just 19, he can be used as a right-back and a centre-back. All that is missing now is an official announcement.
