Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to let goalkeeper Yann Sommer head to Inter after lining up his replacement.

The Nerazzurri, who are on their pre-season tour in Japan alongside the Bundesliga giants, are currently without any first team goalkeepers after selling Andre Onana to Manchester United and letting Samir Handanovic leave on a free transfer.

Sommer has long been identified by Inter as their primary choice for next season and the player is keen to make the move, telling Bayern ahead of the trip to Japan that he wants to leave for the Lombardy capital this summer.

Page eight of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Bayern are finally ready to allow Sommer to leave, now that they’ve lined up a replacement in the form of David Raya, who has entered the last year of his contract with Brentford.

Inter have been patiently waiting to finalise Sommer’s arrival and they’re keen to welcome him in their training camp in Japan. Things could be completed in the next 24 to 48 hours and it’s still unclear as to whether the Nerazzurri would pay his €6m release clause or be given a small discount.
