The Dutch playmaker is a known transfer target for the two clubs, who are both prepared to pay his €39m price-tag.

“It's not so strange to see Sneijder's name linked to the top sides who want to strengthen their squads,” agent Soren Lerby told Voetbal International.

“In any case, I believe that it's still early for those big clubs to act in a definitive manner.

“What I can say for sure is that Wes has a contract until 2015 with Inter and there is nothing concrete at the moment.”

The Gazzetta dello Sport claims a meeting is planned with Inter directors on Monday or Tuesday to decide whether the Dutchman stays or goes.

Manchester United have been tracking Sneijder for some time, while Malaga are new to the transfer table.

The Spanish side is ready to splash the cash after the arrival of new owner, Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani.
