Wesley Sneijder believes Andrea Stramaccioni is “Inter’s best Coach after Jose Mourinho” and has restored his enthusiasm at the club.

The Dutchman has been heavily linked with a move away ever since Mourinho left at the end of the Treble-winning campaign.

These rumours intensified with the succession of tacticians going through San Siro, including Rafa Benitez, Gian Piero Gasperini and Claudio Ranieri.

“I think I will remain at Inter, as I am happy there,” Sneijder told Soccernews.

“The club will move on the market to reinforce the squad and we now have a very good Coach.

“Since Stramaccioni arrived we have rediscovered the fun, as that had been missing. I think he is the best Inter Coach after Mourinho.

“I’m not just saying that because he is our current manager, but because he has brought a specific style of play and enthusiasm to the team.”
