Wesley Sneijder has hailed his Inter teammates for doing a great job to ensure they progressed to the Champions League Quarter-Finals.

The holders travelled to Bayern Munich with a 1-0 deficit to overturn from the first leg and they did just that, winning 3-2 in thrilling circumstances.

"We knew before that it would be a difficult game here, especially because we were losing 1-0 from the first leg, but I think we did a great job," Sneijder said.

"We knew before that it would be a difficult game here, especially because we were losing 1-0 from the first leg, but I think we did a great job," Sneijder said.

"We always believed we could win, and I think we deserved to in the end. We started very well, but of course we were a little bit disappointed to concede the two goals.

"Still, we believed we could recover, even at half-time. We started the second half very well and created some chances straight away.

"We scored a good goal to level it up at 2-2, and after that we went looking for the win. Finally we scored – it was a nice game."
