Sky Sport Italia claims Lazio are ‘confident’ of signing Hugo Lloris from Tottenham with talks ongoing between the club and the player’s entourage.

The experienced French keeper wants to leave North London after the purchase of Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli this summer. Sky Sport Italia claimed on Wednesday afternoon that Lazio are confident of securing Lloris’ signature in the coming days.

Tottenham have agreed to part company with the 2018 France World Cup winner while talks between the Biancocelesti and the player’s entourage are ongoing.

Lloris is reportedly open to moving to Serie A, but his entourage is currently negotiating the salary and contract’s length. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the two parties are close to reaching an agreement.

Lazio have offered a two-year deal which will allow them to use the so-called ‘growth decree’ and save 50% on the player’s gross salary.

Maurizio Sarri’s side are also on the verge of signing Nicolò Rovella and Luca Pellegrini from Juventus, investing €21m in the pair.
