Leonardo Pavoletti is expected to be out for around six weeks, after Genoa announced a grade two hamstring injury.

Grifone pair Pavoletti and Cristian Ansaldi went off with injuries in the draw with Lazio, and had medical tests today.

“Genoa CFC announces that the tests at Istituto Il Baluardo showed that Leonardo Pavoletti has a second degree lesion to the biceps femoris in the right thigh, while Cristian Ansaldi has a grade 1 hamstring injury in his left thigh,” a statement confirmed.

“Recovery times are dependent on the evolution of the clinical picture.”

Tuttomercatoweb reports that Pavoletti will be forced to spend up to 40 days on the sidelines, while Ansaldi is expected to return in three weeks.
