The latest reports suggest that Napoli will be handed a two-point penalty and that Paolo Cannavaro and Gianluca Grava will be banned for six months.

The club and their two defenders are waiting the Disciplinary Commission’s verdict on suggested penalties put forward by FIGC prosecutors for their alleged role in the betting scandal.

Hinging on former goalkeeper Matteo Gianello’s alleged attempted fix in May 2010, Mediaset believe that the club will almost certainly be handed a two-point penalty, as reported earlier in the week.

At the same time, club captain Cannavaro and teammate Grava will receive six-month suspensions for allegedly knowing of Gianello’s attempted fix but failing to report it to the authorities.

The Disciplinary Commission is expected to announce its verdict on Monday.
