Fiorentina striker Giovanni Simeone admits he’d “love to be coached by my father” Diego at Atletico Madrid.

The Argentine forward is following in his father’s footsteps by becoming a Serie A sensation.

He impressed in his first year at Genoa and has now moved across to the Viola.

“I say, purely as a player, that I would love to be coached by my father. Who wouldn’t like to work with one of the best Coaches in the world?

“The character and grit that he possesses is something very important that he can then pass on to the individual players and the whole team,” Sanchez told Raisport.

Simeone is 22 years old and so far this season has contributed eight goals and four assists in 24 competitive matches.
