Simeone remains heavily linked with Inter, despite Stefano Pioli’s recent appointment, having played for the club between 1997 and 1999 and recently downsized his Atleti contract to 2018.
“Diego has a Nerazzurro heart, he’s fond of Inter and Italy,” Simoni, who coached the Argentine in his first season with the Nerazzurri, told Interdipenza.net.
