Siena hint they will not be heavily penalised in the betting scandal after they were referred to the Disciplinary Commission.

The Tuscans were one of three Serie A clubs under investigation along with Atalanta” data-scaytid=”15″>Atalanta and Novara.

“AC Siena received the notice of deferment for indirect responsibility related to the contract for Filippo Carobbio in the 2010-11 Serie B season.

“In this notice, AC Siena are not accused of anything specific.”

It is also believed none of the Siena matches are included in the investigation, so at most they would be fined or docked points for having a player involved in illegal betting.

During the last few months, Siena had many fingers pointed at them in the media, but this does not appear to have translated to evidence for the FIGC.
