Shaw claimed the next games, including the two legs against Roma, will be crucial for their season and hopes to grab the opportunity with both hands.

“They’re three massive games, especially against Roma, it can define our season,” Shaw told MUTV.

“I think we’ve had a few semi-finals in the last two years, and we haven’t been successful in them. It’s a chance to make a step in the right direction and get through that and win that competition.”

Manchester United, who rested both Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani in the 0-0 draw with Leeds last weekend, face Liverpool at Old Trafford in between the two games against the Giallorossi.
