Shakhtar Donetsk boss Mircea Lucescu has confirmed that his club are pondering a bid for Napoli’s Ezequiel Lavezzi.
“I’d like to understand where he will be playing next season because Shakhtar are interested,” the Romanian told Radio CRC. “I consider Lavezzi to be a great talent.”
Stories today suggested that Lavezzi, linked with Paris Saint-Germain, could be replaced in Naples by Shakhtar’s Douglas Costa.
“I’d accept a swap deal between those two players,” the former Brescia and Inter tactician continued. “Costa is a quality player who wants to change clubs.
“I’d only let Costa go for a player with great ability, a player like Lavezzi.”
Costa is a 21-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder who moved to the Ukraine in 2010 from Gremio.
Lavezzi can be signed for €31m.
