Serie C side Catania have been docked two points for failing to keep up payment of their player wages.
The Sicilians had been deferred to the Disciplinary Committee in November for failing to pay salaries.
Their player had released a statement in October noting they hadn’t been paid since receiving one month’s wages in July.
They were found guilty and today docked two points, which will be applied to their current season standings.
It sees Catania drop down to 11th point in Serie C Girone C on 20 points.

Seems harsh in these times especially when they ‘ve been working with bigger and dare I say northern clubs to manage the financial problems.
