Most notably, Alberto Gilardino has been handed a one-game ban and a €2,000 fine for simulation during Genoa’s 2-0 win over Palermo. The striker was booked for the incident midway through the first half of the Grifone’s game, but will now miss the team’s first game of the 2012-13 campaign.

Elsewhere, Moris Carrozzieri is suspended for a game for his ejection for serious foul play during Lecce’s match at Chievo.
