It’s not the first time that Richards has been linked with a move to Italy, but this summer the transfer is most likely to go through.

Milan are the favourites, as this week there were other reports suggesting his former Manchester City teammate Mario Balotelli had been acting as a go-between.

However, much could rely on whether the Rossoneri qualify for the Europa League.

Juventus, Napoli and Inter are also thought to be tracking Richards for next season, as Rafa Benitez in particular is looking for a right-back to replace Christian Maggio.
