Inter launch new signings Marcus Thuram and Yann Sommer in the starting XI against Monza, who have several former Nerazzurri players in the squad.
It kicks off at San Siro at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).
The season begins for Simone Inzaghi’s side after they reached the Champions League Final, won the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana.
Francesco Acerbi is out injured, so Stefan de Vrij steps in, while Sommer and Thuram are thrown straight into the starting XI.
Fellow new signings Davide Frattesi, Juan Cuadrado, Marko Arnautovic and former Monza man Carlos Augusto are all on the bench.
Monza have Armando Izzo suspended, but field ex-Inter players Danilo D’Ambrosio and Roberto Gagliardini.
There had been some concerns kick-off would have to be delayed due to traffic caused by an accident on the motorway, but Monza have arrived.
