However, Radja Nainggolan was nowhere to be seen, while sections of the 7,000-strong crowd were heard singing anti-Mauro Icardi chants.
Bologna defeated Sciliar 5-0 without Mihajlovic in the dugout, although his name was sportingly mentioned on the teamsheet.
Elsewhere, Atalanta began their first-ever Champions League campaign with a 5-1 win against Clusone and Fiorentina’s reserve team scored one more versus Real Vicenza.
