Stefano Sensi has found consistency with Sampdoria and is hoping to carve out some space for himself in the Inter squad once his loan spell ends in the summer.

The 26-year-old Italian midfielder has struggled to make a name for himself with the Nerazzurri following his move from Sassuolo back in September 2020. He initially impressed before suffering the first of many injuries, massively limiting his ability to shine under both Antonio Conte and Simone Inzaghi.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Sensi has finally managed to string together consistent performances, starting eight times for Sampdoria following his arrival in January. He’s managed to prove himself as both a trequartista and a deep-laying playmaker, showing some tactical flexibility in the middle of the pitch.

Sensi will return to Inter at the end of the season and he’s hoping to carve out some space for himself in Simone Inzaghi’s team, possibly as a reliable backup to Marcelo Brozovic.

  1. I never gave up on this player, he just needs to take his career serious off the pitch.
