Stefano Sensi said Sassuolo have “returned to being the side that plays beautiful football” after a 1-0 victory away to Fiorentina.

Domenico Berardi’s goal proved decisive at the Stadio Franchi and allowed them to leapfrog the Viola into 10th place.

“We’re happy to have secured safety and proud to be in the top half of the table, as that was our objective going into this weekend,” the midfielder told Sky Sport Italia.

“The team has returned to being the side that plays beautiful football and plays out from the back with ball to feet, we’ve given our best over the last few weeks.

“We saw a determined Sassuolo with the right mentality over the last few weeks. The important thing now is to maintain this concentration until the end of the season.”
