“We are giving consistency to our good performances,” Semplici claimed after the match.

“We were hoping to get a win in the end, but instead we got a good point against a good Fiorentina team.

“We move forward convinced about our future. We have definitely improved our mentality a little bit. We are tougher than we were at the start of the season.

“I think that is the right road to go down in order to achieve our aims.”

Semplici added that he is convinced his team are improving in their first Serie A season in almost 50 years.

“Watching training and the performances of my boys, we are improving.

“We are on a different level to the bigger teams, so it’s up to us to adapt to get positive results.”
