Former Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco has rejected speculation that he could be about to sign for Palermo.

The Rosanero are looking for a new transfer chief after Sean Sogliano quit at the Stadio Barbera on Wednesday.

"I don't know anything about Palermo and I've had no contact with them," the ex-Bianconeri official told ReteRete24.

"The club is without doubt very important and it would be stimulating to work there, but that is just my personal opinion as these rumours are without foundation."

Sogliano resigned just months after his arrival following a breakdown in his relationship with fiery chief Maurizio Zamparini.

"Would it be hard to work for Zamparini? It's a question that I am not asking myself because I don't think it will be an eventuality for me to consider."
