Napoli striker Eduardo Vargas, on loan to Queens Park Rangers, is out for the season with a knee injury.

The Chilean joined the Premier League club last summer, after loan spells at Brazilian side Gremio and La Liga's Valencia.

The 25-year-old was subbed off last Saturday in the 4-1 victory against West Brom, after scoring the opener.

Vargas was diagnosed with a grade two medial collateral ligament injury, which will sideline him for up to three months.
