The Giallorossi released a statement this morning confirming reports that Schick had suffered a muscular issue in training on Saturday.
His condition will be evaluated, as he might not even be on the bench this evening.
Dzeko was due to start anyway, but the fact Schick has been struggling with a series of fitness issues could sway their transfer strategy.
The only reason Dzeko is on the way out is because Schick is considered his heir, having paid €14m plus up to €8m in various bonuses to sign him from Sampdoria.
However, between a cardiac irregularity and muscular issues, Schick has made only 11 competitive appearances for Roma, scoring one goal.
