Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic will not travel to the USA for pre-season, as he’s set to join Atletico Madrid.
It was reported earlier today that Viola Coach Paulo Sousa had blocked the €15m move, seeing the Montenegrin as a key part of his squad.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport is now reporting that the deal is virtually complete, with Savic being pulled from the club’s pre-season tour.

The newspaper believes the transfer is virtually a done deal, but good relations established between the clubs could see Mario Suarez arrive at Artemio Franchi on loan.
The defensive midfielder would not be included as part of the Savic deal, but Fiorentina would immediately be in pole position for his signature.
