Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic will miss Sunday’s clash with Udinese, as well as Montenegro’s Euro 2016 qualifier with Russia.
The former Manchester City defender has become a key man for club and country, but the Viola announced today that he is struggling with a hamstring injury.
“TodayStefan Savic was subjected to diagnostic tests which confirmed the presence of tissue scarring on the left hamstring associated with a local neuralgia, which limits the ability to play competitively,” reads a statement on the club’s website.

“The player will continue treatment, and will be subject to further evaluation in the coming days.
“The player will not be available for the match in Udine, and therefore cannot answer a call-up to the national team.”
