Yesterday, the FIGC President Gabriele Gravina confirmed that the 'idea is to restart Serie A on May 20 or early June' and gets support from Sassuolo CEO Carnevali.

“At Sassuolo we have always had a clear point of view: to complete the championship,” he told Rai Sport. “I think it’s fair in everyone’s comparison.

“First, we need to verify the health aspect, that’s essential, if the conditions to train will exist, I think it’s important to finish the championship without damaging next season.

“But, even if the conditions force us to finish the campaign in late June or early July, I still think it’s right to conclude the season.”

Sassuolo sit 11th in the suspended Serie A table and are seven points clear of relegation after having played 25 games in the current campaign.
