Sassuolo emerged victorious in their first ever tie in European competition, defeating Luzern 3-0 on the night and 4-1 on aggregate.

The first leg of the Neroverdi’s Europa League third qualifying round tie against the Swiss side ended 1-1 last Thursday, meaning there was all to play for in tonight’s return match at Stadio Mapei.

If Eusebio Di Francesco’s team felt any nerves ahead of a maiden home European match, they didn’t show them.
