Sassuolo are stepping up their negotiations with Feyenoord for right-back Marcus Pedersen, who is also a target for Torino.
The Norway international only turned 23 last month and made the move to the Netherlands in 2021 from Molde at a cost of €2m.
According to Sportitalia, the talks between Sassuolo and Feyenoord are intensifying their talks for Pedersen and hope to get a deal done soon, especially as the player is already eager to make the move.
It remains to be seen if this will be a permanent purchase or a loan with option to buy at the end of the season, but Sassuolo are expected to pay circa €7m.
Torino remain interested, but first they must sell Wilfried Stephane Singo, who is wanted by both AS Monaco and Atalanta.
Last season, Pedersen made 40 competitive appearances for Feyenoord, contributing a goal and two assists.
Despite his age, he already has 18 senior caps under his belt for Norway.
