Goldaniga could be a replacement for Francesco Acerbi, who is still being linked with a move away, despite recently signing a new deal at the Mapei Stadium.
Genoa, meanwhile, were hoping to sign the 23-year-old alongside Ricardo Centurion, but the Argentine attacker opted to stay at Boca Juniors.
