Sassuolo are in advanced negotiations for Borussia Dortmund’s Turkish centre-back Omer Toprak, claim Sky Sport Italia, along with Jeremy Toljan.
The defender turns 30 later this month and has been in Dortmund since 2017, having previously played for Ravensburg, Freiburg and Bayer Leverkusen.
He was born and raised in Germany, playing for them at Under-19 level, but switched his allegiance to Turkey and now has two goals in 27 caps.

Toprak would be the second Sassuolo defensive purchase from Borussia Dortmund, as a deal has practically been done for a loan with option to buy for right-back Toljan.
