Maurizio Sarri was disappointed that Napoli failed to keep a clean sheet in their 3-1 victory over Pescara.
There had been reports that legend Diego Armando Maradona was going to be in the stands, as he arrived in the city last night, but El Pibe de Oro was busy with rehearsals for tomorrow’s theatre show.
“You cannot invite Maradona. Naples is his, he can go wherever he wants,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“There were bound to be some initial difficulties against this type of team, as Pescara used up so much energy with high pressing from the start. As time goes on, they loosen up a little and we waited for the right moment.
“We did well to break the deadlock on a set play, then created many chances. It was really disappointing to concede at the end when we had allowed Pescara practically nothing.”
Sarri was asked whether he needed more strength in depth to truly challenge for the Scudetto.
“At this moment in time, Napoli cannot compete economically with Europe’s biggest clubs. Our only option is to sign promising young players and hope they become great. It’s not as if we can go to Barcelona and buy Leo Messi.
“This is our strategy and it has to be in the circumstances. We don't have Chinese backers, and my history in the lower leagues means I focus on working to improve the squad at my disposal.
"I do think we’ve got a few players here who can become world class. A Coach can make a good player become better, but a world class player has to be made by his mother.
“Piotr Zielinski has everything it takes to become world class. He needs a little more determination to bring out that quality and has to improve defensively.
“If I were Jorginho, I’d be worried playing alongside Zielinski and Marek Hamsik, as they both push forward so much it creates extra work for him.”
