“Today it was difficult to rotate, as we changed eight or nine players in the Europa League, so it was normal to get back this line-up.
“I never tried to compare this team to last season’s, as it’s a different group, the opponents are different, so there’s frankly no point.
“We have scored a great deal, but I think that’s down to the great attacking potential of our forwards. As a Coach what does make me happy is that we have found a certain defensive solidity.
“On Thursday we scored two goals from set play routines. Last season we had many options at Empoli and scored many goals like that, but we’re working on something different and hope it will pay off in the long run.”
