“My head is on the match with Inter. We are going to San Siro to play with pride, the right mentality and the desire to get a positive result,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“We have had a great season and I hope the final page will be worthy of what came before it. I saw the team doing well during the week and I’m sure we will put in a great performance.

“Inter are a side with enormous potential, even if this year they have not been able to express that consistently.”

Sarri has been compared to Arrigo Sacchi for his organised and entertaining style of football.

He was named by Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero last night as one of three contenders for the bench along with Roberto Donadoni and Paulo Sousa.

“Next week I will speak to the director and we’ll make a decision together,” confirmed Sarri.

“I’ll make sure to get things sorted out quickly, as the club needs time to plan for next term.

“These have been three wonderful years. My decision does not depend on other clubs, I just need to speak to Empoli.

“I feel that this team is mine, we’ll see what happens over the next few days.”
