Napoli Coach Maurizio Sarri warns Dynamo Kiev are “physically far ahead” of his own side.

The Partenopei face the Ukrainian champions in the Champions League tomorrow, and the tactician is expecting a tough test, given the Ukrainian League has been underway since the end of July.

“They’re a squad who are physically well ahead,” Sarri explained in his pre-match Press conference.

“They have attacking organisation, but it’s rarely seen in their League because they dominate and play with the central defenders pushed up to midfield.

“The group is balanced, all four teams have the chance of going through. This will be a difficult match to play because of the physicality and pace they have, as well as their quality.

"Right now they have something more than us from a physical point of view, but that's normal. We have to be stronger than them on the ball, we have to make more of the play than them, even if they're used to controlling the game.

“I want to see a strong personality, the same we show in the League, imposing our philosophy on Europe.”

Sarri’s route to the top-table of European club competition has been a slow one, did he ever think he’d be Coaching in the Champions League?

“It’s clear I didn’t think of arriving here, I always did this work as a passion. I never set objectives, I just set out to have fun and I’ve been doing that for 25 years.

“I’m pleased to be here in the Champions League, but I won’t settle and I want to have more fun.”
